Patients Rights

  • Right to information about his/her disease, treatment and prognosis and other related information.
  • Right to know estimated cost of treatment.
  • Right to consent
  • Right to confidentiality and privacy
  • Right to obtain a copy of medical record
  • Right to have a second opinion
  • Right to refusal of treatment
  • Right to voice complaint and grievances.
  • Right to complete information alternatives in case of transfer to another facility.
 

Patient Responsibilities

  • To provide accurate and complete information about medical complaints, past illnesses, hospitalizations, medications, allergies, pain and other information related to their health.
  • To follow the treatment plan recommended by those responsible for their care.
  • To be responsible for their actions if they refuse treatment or do not follow the health care team’s instructions.
  • To see that their bills are paid as promptly as possible;
  • To follow hospital rules and regulations.
  • To be considerate of the rights of other patients and hospital personnel.
  • To protect the hospital environment and not polluting it.
