Consultant Dermatologist, Dermatosurgeon and Aesthetic Specialist

Dr. (Maj) Neha Akhoon is a Consultant Dermatologist with expertise in clinical dermatology, aesthetic dermatology, dermatosurgery, dermoscopy, and advanced skin, hair, laser, and aesthetic treatments. She is known for her evidence-based, ethical, and patient-centric approach, with a focus on delivering scientifically driven outcomes.

She completed her MD in Dermatology, Venereology & Leprology from Government Medical College, Jammu, and also holds an MD in Pharmacology from Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune, where she was awarded the Gold Medal for academic excellence.

Dr. Neha has received advanced international fellowship training in Dermatopathology & Oncodermatology from Universitätsklinikum des Saarlandes, Germany, along with fellowship training in Lasers, Dermatosurgery & Aesthetic Dermatology under the aegis of the Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists and Leprologists (IADVL). She has also been selected for an observership in Dermatosurgery at Vardhman Mahavir Medical College (VMMC), New Delhi, under the Association of Cutaneous Surgeons of India (ACSI).

She has worked at reputed institutions including Army College of Medical Sciences & Base Hospital Delhi Cantt and Government Medical College Jammu, with experience spanning medical dermatology, pediatric dermatology, dermoscopy, lasers, hair disorders, pigmentation management, scar management, vitiligo surgeries, aesthetic procedures, and sexually transmitted diseases.

Dr. Neha is the recipient of multiple academic honours and scholarships, including the IADVL DERMACON Scholarship (2024) and the Best Oral Paper Presentation Award at the ISPD Conference, Chennai. She has also been recognized with multiple awards for scientific oral and poster presentations at various dermatology conferences.

An active academician and researcher, she has authored over 30 peer-reviewed publications in reputed national and international journals and contributed to dermatology textbooks and academic reference works.
