OPD :- Nutrition education & counseling services is provided by the Dietary Department of MCDH. OPD is open to all as well as to faculty & staff.

Staff :- The Department is staffed with highly qualified nutritionists in the areas of clinical nutrition, nutritional assessment, counseling & management of many nutrition-related diseases & problems. State of the art methods are used to analyze food intake assess baseline caloric needs, assist in the management of many nutrition-related diseases & problems, measure body composition & help clients comply with healthful diets.
Diabetes :- Our dieticians are ready to help in successfully controlling & regulating the blood glucose in case of Type-I, Type-II, Pre or gestational diabetes, insulin resistance, polycystic ovarian syndrome or hypoglycemia.
Weight Management :- Our nutrition counselors are experts in providing food plans to meet weight management goals, either weight loss, weight gain or body composition change. Dieticians assess physical activity, age, medical conditions & food preferences to make a custom food plan. If required, we also make recommendations for nutrition supplements including vitamins & minerals.
Eating Disorders :- Anorexia, bulimia or compulsive eating need a nutrition plan that can provide balance. Our patients are successfully learning to use structured meal plans, intentional eating & emotional awareness is being created.
Cancer :- Cancer needs to be considered differently from most other challenges in clinical nutrition. As opposed to diseases affecting the kidney, bowel, liver or lung, cancer can exert its effect on nearly every organ of the body. If you are living with cancer, currently in treatment or a cancer survivor, we can help you design a nutrition program that will help in speeding your recovery and work to prevent reoccurrence. Based on assessment of specific needs, we evaluate and recommend nutritional supplements as needed.
Child’s Nutrition :- The challenge of optimal childhood nutrition is to match supply with demands throughout this period of age so that full genetic potential can be realized.
