I was born in District Mianwali (now in Pakistan) in 1943 and migrated to India in 1947. After achieving qualifications as B.Sc., LL.B. from Delhi University, I practiced as tax advocate for about 30 years and switched over to real estate construction business in 1996 and have been the chairman of the family Raison group of companies.
I came in contact of Respected Mahahshay Ji, the leading industrialist of MDH brand masala, in some of social and charitable activities run by him. Respected Mahashay Ji enjoyed support of many selfless honorary workers, who were all devoted and associated with him by virtue of network web of his love spread by him, in pursuing various charitable activities in the institutions run by his own founded “Mahashay Chunnilal Charitable Trust” as well as other similar charitable organizations under his chairmanship. With the inspirations drawn from him I also got attracted in his network web of love. He gave me the responsibility of holding the office as Secretary of the Trust in 1989 and since then I have continuous opportunity to serve on the board of managements in all the institutions of education and health care established by the Trust under his aegis. Mata Chanan Devi Hospital is one of the premier institutions of the Trust.
I had the opportunity to closely monitor developments of many specialties and super-specialties in the hospital besides serving the ailing community, especially the poor ones under the blessings and guidance of Respected Mahashay Ji. I promise to continue and deliver my humble services to the best of my abilities. I am thankful to my colleague trust members, more particularly, Mr. Rajeev Gulati, Vice Chairman, Mr. S. N. Mahendru, Additional Secretary, Mr. S. N. Oberoi, Tresurar, MR. H. L. Kumar, Advocate, Dr. R. K. Gupta, Mr. Prem Arora and other members; and all the Doctors, paramedical and other staff of the hospital, who have always guided, assisted and supported me in performance of my duties.
I am proud to be a son of a great visionary, kind hearted and big philanthropist industrialist Mahshay Dharampal Gulati, who has been successful in achieving laurels not only in the field of spices and acknowledged as king of spices, but also in the service of mankind in the fields of education, healthcare and social welfare for the society at large. He is a man with principles of honouring commitments and providing everyone excellent quality services with love and personal touch in all his fields whether they are of his business or of his charitable missions. Believing his principles and under his guidance, I have always endeavored and strived hard to work with him shoulder to shoulder in all spheres of his working and got opportunity to serve the community in health care through Mata Chanan Devi Hospital established by him. I, like my father, have always contributed towards upliftment of needy and downtrodden people by way of providing free treatments including free medicines worth millions of rupees in the hospital. I am sure that our efforts with the blessings of our parents, grandparents and support of all the trust members, doctors, paramedical and other staff of the hospital will be helpful in taking the organization from good to great.
